120 West Main Street
Historic Charm Reimagined
120 W. Main is situated in the Fox River Valley in Northeastern Illinois about forty-five miles northwest of Chicago in West Dundee. Built in 1909 by the druggist C. S. Sinclair, it was a modern building with toilet rooms and sanitary plumbing, one of the first in the area.
Breathing New Life into 120 W. Main St.
Fast forward 93 years our restauranteur client had the vision of turning the dilapidated historic Main Street office building into a vibrant restaurant and boutique hotel. Studio GWA performed architectural design, commercial kitchen design, interior design, and historic tax credit consulting.
The result is a beautiful addition to Downtown West Dundee while keeping the history of the 1909 building alive.
