Main Street Monroe had the vision to take an underutilized empty lot and turn it into a place to build community, enjoy nature, and encourage relaxation by building a pocket park. Not only will it provide a space to sit and relax, read, meet up with friends, or have a bite to eat, but the pocket park also addresses a critical need downtown—restrooms that will be open all 4 seasons, during business hours, and be fully accessible for those with mobility issues.

The pocket park will benefit and benefit from the continued restoration and redevelopment of downtown properties, further encouraging people to live, work, and play in downtown Monroe.
